The late Raymond R. Camp was born in 1908 in New Jersey. After education at the University of Pennsylvania and New York University, Camp became part of the editorial staff of the New York Times. In 1936, he became the outdoor editor for the paper and wrote numerous hunting and fishing articles in settings all around the world.
Aside from the newspaper article, Camp’s specialty was the compilation of hunting and fishing knowledge in the form of short story collections and encyclopedias.
