Jack O’Connor (1902-1978) was a foremost expert on shooting and hunting with rifles, and long time Shooting Editor for Outdoor Life magazine. O’Connor was best known for his big game hunting adventures, including pursuing sheep in the Western mountains, and his love for the .270 Winchester. He did more to promote the use and popularity of the .270 than any other man. Jack was known for his honesty and humility, and he was a heck of a good writer to boot!
