Ed Zern (1910-1994) was an outdoor humor writer, fly fisherman and conservationist. He wrote numerous articles and several books, but is best known by sportsmen for his humor column, “Exit Laughing”, which he wrote for Field and Stream magazine for more than 30 years beginning in 1958. Zern was hilarious, well-liked and extremely talented. His pieces were short and almost always funny, which makes his books quick, light-hearted and easy to read.
