Ben O. Williams is all about upland bird hunting. Williams grew up in Illinois and moved West after college, becoming an avid upland bird hunter and helping bring bird dogs (and upland hunting in general) to the West. (Fun fact: Williams introduced the great outdoor writer Charles F. Waterman to upland bird hunting). He is a successful writer, photographer and dog breeder, specializing in Brittanies. Williams has written several books on upland bird hunting. He currently resides in Livingston, Montana.

Ben—I look forward to reading your articles about hunting in MT. For the past 10 years I have been going to Craig MT to fish on the MO river. I always go early in Sept and this of course is the beginning of MT bird season. My question is what are the hun hunting opportunities in and around Craig? I would love for you to write a piece on the many guns you have used over the years for upland hunting. Thanks, Mike Smajstrla
