“Dud Dean Maine Guide: Tales of Hunting and Fishing” is the 1974 reprint of Arthur MacDougall Jr.’s “Dud Dean and His Country”, which was originally published in 1946. Aside from having a different cover and publisher, it’s identical to the first printing. This newer copy is readily available and can be found at a very reasonable price. It’s a great way to introduce a new reader to the Dud Dean stories.
