"Dud Dean Maine Guide: Tales of Hunting and Fishing" is the 1974 reprint of Arthur MacDougall Jr.'s "Dud Dean and His Country", which was originally published in 1946. In 1946, Arthur MacDougall, Jr. published "Dud Dean and His Country", another collection of his popular Dud Dean stories. Dean was the fictional Maine guide who was the cornerstone of most of MacDougall's writing.
