I’ve recently enjoyed reading Paul Fuller’s “On Point” column in the Northwoods Sporting Journal. From Durham, New Hampshire, Paul is founder of “Bird Dogs Afield”, the self-proclaimed “complete video magazine for upland pointing dog enthusiasts and upland bird hunters”. You can check it out at www.birddogsafield.com.
I found Paul’s site the other day and have been watching “Bird Dogs Afield” episodes ever since. The episodes are aired on local New England television during the bird season and are available on the website afterwards. While geared towards New England grouse and woodcock hunting, Paul and crew also traveled to Kansas for quail and pheasant hunts, and to other Western destinations, which are showcased in several episodes. You can also read reprints of Paul’s Northwoods Sporting Journal columns on the site.
So if you haven’t been there already, check out Bird Dogs Afield. If you’re an avid bird hunter, I think you’ll enjoy it.
